Desiderio’s dam StPrSt Maradonna was the highest placed 4yo in the German Mare Championship and also produced the Oldenburg Champion stallion Furstenball. This special mare is a full sister to Oldenburg Champion Seiger Hit’s dam. Their sire Donnerhall was the foundation stallion at Gronwohldhof stud and celebrated a wonderful international Grand Prix career under Karin Rehbein. Donnerhall is known for his expressive piaffe, passage and extended trot. Donnerhall’s performance career includes such international highlights as individual Bronze Medal and German Team Gold at the 1994 FEI World Equestrian Games, 5th place 1995 Volvo Dressage World Cup; 4th place 1998 FEI World Championships in Rome. In 1997 Donnerhall won the prestigious European World Cup Freestyle League. Donnerhall’s breeding achievements are no less impressive. In 1998 Donnerhall was named Oldenburg Stallion of the Year. In Germany alone Donnerhall has over 50 approved sons. Some of Donnerhall’s most famous offspring include Davingnon, Don Schufro, De Niro, Don Frederico and Don Gregory.

Desiderio’s sire sire Dimaggio is a World Champion with the proven ability to produce internation class dressage horses. Dimaggio was the Reserve Champion of his stallion performance testing at Neustadt/Dosse, placing 2nd in dressage with a high index of 133.39. He went on to place 4th among Germany’s best at the 1999 Bundeschampionat and soon after made a sweeping victory of the British Young Horse Championships under Suzanne Davis.
