Again as a 5 year old, he qualified for the third year in a row for the Bundeschampionat in 2013 with an overall score of 8.4, receiving a 9.5 for his trot. In 2013 Diamo Gold was purchased by Harmony Sporthorses and was imported to the US.

Daimo’s sire Dimaggio is a World Champion with the proven ability to produce international class dressage horses. Dimaggio was the Reserve Champion of his stallion performance testing at Neustadt/Dosse, placing 2nd in dressage with a high index of 133.39. He went on to place 4th among Germany’s best at the 1999 Bundeschampionat and soon after made a sweeping victory of the British Young Horse Championships under Suzanne Davis. Dimaggio has nearly 20 licensed sons.

Diamo’s grandsire, The Oldenburg stallion Ex Libris adds further ride-ability to his heritage. Ex Libris himself was the winner of his 100-day performance test in 1991, receiving 9’s for ride-ability and general gaits. Ex Libris sired four licensed sons including the 1997 winner of the Bundeschampionat Four Year old division Exupery and Escapado, the stallion that Carl Hester rode in the 2004 Olympics. Ex Libris’ Thoroughbred sire Elan xx brings considerable refinement and agility to this impressive stallion.

Diamo Gold is currently continuing his international sport career under Scott Hassler.
