Finding the “good ones” early is key in launching a future star. Harmony Sporthorses discovered Fiorano when he was only one week old while on a tour evaluating Rousseau’s first foal crop in Germany. Harmony decided to buy the colt and raise this promising youngster in Hemmoor under the care of Hengststation Pape.

At the 2007 hanoverian Stallion Licensing Fiorano quickly became a crowd favorite with his exceptionally charming appearance, very active hind leg, correct foundation. He was awarded premium stallion. In 2008 Fiorano won his 70-day-test in Munster with 136.12 total and 141.7 points dressage index. The judges scored him seven times with a 9.0 or better, and was given a 9.5 for his rideability. Fiorano’s movements are animated and carried with a hind leg, therefore collected work came to him with ease.

Fiorano’s damline contributes outstanding movement, elasticity and superb rideability. Fiorano’s damsire is the Hanoverian stallion Rotspon who is a son of the notorious Rubinstein. Rotspon was the unprecedented winner of his stallion performance test scoring 148.82 points in the dressage category. Rotspon has over 17 licensed sons and over 606 offspring in competition. Rotspon’s sire needs no introduction as one of the top producing dressage stallions of all time, Rubinstein I. Rubinstein I had an amazing performance career with 40 wins at Grand Prix level and was a member of the 1996 Olympic team. Rubinstein, not only did he have an outstanding performance career but his breeding career was also exceptional, leaving 89 state premium mares, 66 approved stallions and a long list of top auction horses and Grand Prix winners to his carry forth his legacy.

Fiorano’s grand damsire is the world renowned Laurie’s Crusader. He has had a highly significant impact on the dressage breeding world. in 2007 he was the Hanoverian stallion of the year, the first time a Thoroughbred ever received this coveted award. Laurie’s Crusader has sired over 546 competition horses. He also produced the 1999 Bundeschampion Londonderry, sire of many outstanding preference horses and such significant stallions as Lockley I-III, Liberty Gold and Lemmony’s Nicket.

In 2017 after a sucessful international Grand Prix career under Susan Pape and Harmony Sporthorses Fiorano and sold to a young rider in Denmark to continue his sport career.
